New Wine in Old Bottle

We had great expectations from the current CPM Govt. led by V.S. since he came to power riding on the crest of the wave of promising to hand-cuff the ice-cream parlour and other sex-scandal perpetrators and parade them in public.

However, it seems there is a big gap between promise and Practice. One such example is appointment of T.P. Dasan, former Mayor of Kozhikode, a Pinarayi man as President of the Kerala Sport’s Council. TP Dasan was the 11th accused in the infamous ice-cream parlour sex scandal. CPM suspended Dasan for the sake of records and after a decent interval his suspension was revoked with an obliging media keeping mum on it.

Then came the appointment of A. Akbar as Managing Directorship of Kerala State Financial Enterprises. A. Akbar is a former top official of the Bank of Kabul in Afghanistan. There are allegation of his connections with Taliban and Al-Qaeda during his CEOship with Bank of Kabul.

It seems now we have a DUMMY PM AND A DUMMY CM!!

CPI(M) Palestine Fund

CPI(M) has collected more than Rs 26 lakh towards supporting the Palestine Cause. The biggest contributions of which came from the Left strongholds of West Bengal and Kerala. The fund collection is continuing at a “hectic pace” and would soon touch Rs 1 crore.

Of Course, if CPM can give 1 crore for a distant and obscure country, we would have expected a big support during the calamities in India. The tragic story is CPM didnot donate a single cent to support the People in India who were effected by Major Calamities in India.

Guess Vote Bank has its gains.

We are against Muslim fundamentalists: Left

"We are against Muslim fundamentalists" Says Brinda Karat. Who can blame Ms. Karat for not being informed about the CPM's Partners, afterall she is busy with her yoga and promoting friendship with Pakistan when free etc.

For Ms. Brinda Information, CPM Parners in Various States are:-

Kerala: Jamaat E Islami(mother Organisation of SIMI), PDP (of which Abdul Nasser Madhani is founder)

Tamil Nadu: IUML

She also went on to add "
It is objectionable to oppose singing of Vande Mataram. We are opposed to the stand of Muslim fundamentalists... But at the same time we are also opposed to the stand of BJP and Shiv Sena on the issue". Wow Wait a Minute, now I am confused Does she want people to Sing Vande Matram or not. This is called Sleeping with everyone. If you are Pro Vande Matram, the stuff opposing Muslim Fundametalism is for their consumption But if are Against Vande Matram, Stuff mentioning BJP/Shiv Sena is for their consumption!!!

Give up Cola to Drink Whiskey

Kerala Government has banned distribution and production of colas. Great initiative, considering the risk it posed to public health due to high levels of pesticide in them.

"We cannot make our people drink poison and pesticide just because we want industries here. This is not the policy of LDF," said Vaikom Viswan, LDF convenor.

What he conveniently forgot is Kerala is the biggest consumer of alcohol in the country with an average consumption of 8.3 litres per person per year. Five years ago there were only 14 alcohol outlets. Today there are 350 all run by the state owned Kerala Beverages Corporation. the government is minting money from sale of alcohol, Rs 2000 crore a year to be precise.

I do dislike them with a reason

Someone send me a one line note saying "Man, you really hate LEFT"

My answer to him is yes. I do. I am of strong belief that LEFT is one of the most dangerous hidden dangers for this nation. What else can we expect from an Ideology which is foreign to this nation. Their Flag is foreign, their ideology is foreign, their Idols are foreign!!

It is the "curse" of this nation that we donot remember and learn from History. If we evaluate the history, there is enough pointers there to forewarn us:-

- Till late LEFT didnot consider India as a Country. They considered us a Union of nations.

- For them their party interest is supreme. They will sacrifice any number of countries with out a blink  if it can Help the cause of their party. It is not coincidence that they sided with British during Quit India movement, with Chinese during 1965 agression of China, with Indira during Emergency. Its their Misfortune(Good fortune of this nation) that they betted on the wrong horse.

- At one level they say they are secular but have no shame in taking the support of Abdul Nasser Madhani who is prime accused in Coimbatore Serial Bomb Blast and Jamaat e Islam(mother of SIMI). They call themselves secular in Kerala and fight with IUML, but support same IUML in Tamil Nadu. They created the only Muslim Majority District in India - Malapurram, Kerala.

- They claim as Non Corrupt but supported the worst corrupt regime of Laloo Prasad Yadav

- They Support the Communist Principles in Centre but in West bengal they have one of the most agressive Capitalist Policies

and so on..

Buddha's Jehad

This morning I was shaken by the intensity of Emotion in Buddhas speech when he said the following:-

“It is a victory of evil over good, over right-thinking people. This happens at times. Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee thundered, shaking in rage at Writers’ Buildings

Describing his fight agaiunst Evil he says, “If you want to call it a jihad, go ahead and write it. ”

I was gladdened that there is at least one politician who is taking the problems in India seriously and decided to get to the root of this so called "Axis of Evil". But Imagine my shock when I realised that its a storm in teacup. The Battle which Buddha was referring was battle over the Cricket Association of Bengal. The Axis of Evil was none other than Jagmohan Dalmiya. It seems Jagmohan Dalmiya has done what the Opposition in the state couldn’t do in the last two elections: beat a candidate handpicked by Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

Well I will wait for another day!

Happy Birthday Mr. Castro

Its celebration time in communists offices allover India. After all its world’s longest serving leader Fidel Castro's 80th Birthday.

India's top two Communist leaders, CPI(M)’s Prakash Karat and CPI’s A B Bardhan who never tire of singing praises of Cuban leader Fidel Castro and his battles with the US, are heading for Havana. Over a thousand guests are expected to attend this Left jamboree.
‘‘We are keen to know what the Latin Americans have to say about us (the Indian Left),’’ says Bardhan. Also he proudly claimed that Cubans are so resolute that they are not shattered by the succession of hurricanes and storms, a resilience that’s is not even shown by the US.
I am sure Mr. Burden(no i know my spelling) and Mr. Karat would use this trip to propagate the idea of democracy among their communist counterparts. Afterall, Thats what they were doing in Nepal.

This time two months ago
Following is the article from CPIM's People democracy.

Excerpt from the Article:
CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury, who has been facilitating the parties in Nepal to reach an understanding, has expressed confidence that the country’s journey towards democracy will be fructified in the coming three-odd months.

The Annual Planning Conferences

I being from the bad world of Corporate am quite used to the annual ritual of planning conferences. These is the annual ritual in which we travel to the rarefied rooms of company Headquarters. Here we renew our pledge of loyalty to the corporate plans and unveil our plans for their approval.

During for past few days, I grew curious whether our political parties have such an Exercise. After few hours of research, I came up with some interesting information

- Every year BJP have their annual Baithaks with their mothership - RSS to gets their plans approved by the Wise men there. I am sure poor BJP might be facing some tough time explaining why some of their guys were naughty.

- In congress case, it was much simpler. As in this case, Mother was the ship.

- I was in for a surprise when I realised that Mr. Karat just came back from eight-day tour of China during which he discussed party-to-party ties and Sino-Indian relations. He also visited the “party school” of the Communist Party. I am sure he might
have taken some good lessons in the school. I was wondering what kind of crash course he might have taken? I being a optimist, I am sure the chinese tutors would have given him lessons in Nationalism(No marks for guessing which nation).

CPM to raise fund for Palestinian cause

GULBARGA: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has launched a fund raising drive to help the Palestinians in their hour of crisis and has called upon people to generously donate for the same.
My eyes almost turned moist at the noble deed from a political party in India. I am sure the External Events is consuming so much energy of CPM that they might have missed minor events in India like 200 deaths in Mumbai Bomb Blast,
Mayhem in J&K. If aware, I am sure they would have arranged similar Fund raising drive for the Lakhs killed in J&K or 100's killed in Mumbai. Though I am not sure how it might have effected secular fabric of CPM

The Ultimate LIP Service for Dalits

Excert from marxist Thought Paper "A MARXIST PERSPECTIVE ON CASTE OPPRESSION"

The thoroughly reactionary varna and caste system has hounded Indian society for thousands of years. The varna and caste system was sanctified by Hindu religion and by Vedic scriptures. The worst affected by the caste system and its social oppression have been the dalits, or atishudras, or scheduled castes. The stories of Shambuka in the Ramayana and of Ekalavya in the Mahabharata are classic testimonies of the non-egalitarian nature of Hindu society in ancient India.

Reservation should be extended to dalit Christians.

1. LAND REFORMS: The central and state governments must immediately set in motion a process of land reforms whereby land will be redistributed to the landless agricultural labourers and poor peasants gratis. All loopholes in the present laws must be plugged. All schemes to reverse land reform legislation and give away land to multinational corporations and big business houses should be scrapped forthwith.

2. INTERCASTE MARRIAGES: Intercaste marriages should be encouraged by giving special subsidized housing
Such Scandelous Propoganda should be exposed and resisted. This is effort of CPM to divide and rule the Hindu Society

- On one level CPM reminds us of Shambuka & Eklavaya. But it conveniently forgets that Maharshi Ved Vyas wrote the Mahabharat(which also contains the Baghavad Gita) was the son of a fisher woman ; Valmiki who composed the Ramanaya was once a highway robber and was from fisherman’s caste ; Chandragupta Maurya of the Maurya Dyanasty originates from Muria, a tribe which used to collect Peacock (Mor) feathers ; and today’s Amrita Anandamayi, who hails from Kerala’s fishermen caste. All of them were sudras. That means two of the the greatest scriptures were written by sudras, the greatest of Emperor in India was emepror. So is now one of the most reverred gurus.

- On reservation of Dalit Christians: This is really Outrageous. It was my understanding that there is no Dalits in Christianity.
Christianity sought converts on the plea that it did not discriminate between believers, and hence low caste believers would loose the social stigma of their original caste. Dalits who were lured to the Christian fold to better their social, economic and educational status should rethink their move and return to their traditional cultural moorings for such benefits

- On Land Reforms: CPM should put money where there mouth is. In west Bengal,
right at the moment Salem group of Indonesia,is being given 5,000 acres of Agriculture land in Molla’s home district South 24 Parganas, similiarly 1200 acre being given to Tata Motors, 250 acre had been given to car-makers Honda Motor COmpany, 297 acre to Maruti Udyog and 250 acre to Toyota to set up manufacturing units in other states.

- Intercaste Marraige: I have not seen more Hypocrisy than this. EMS Namboothiripad was the Father of CPM in India.
Namboothiripad is a brahmin caste. His both Children Married other brahmins. This is same for other leaders in CPM. Every leader of CPM is calleds by his caste

THE ULTIMATE IRONY, IN 100 YEARS OF CPMS EXISTENCE IN INDIA NOT EVEN A SINGLE DALIT HAS BEEN APPOINTED TO POLITBURO OF CPM

Is CPM promoting Armed Struggle in India?

This is excert from one of the news letters of CPM. It is published in Peoples Demoracy Vol. XXV August 26, 2001.

Excerpts:
We lost 13 ZPTC and 64 MPTC seats comparing with the past elections. We had alliance with the TDP in the past and won 358 MPTC and 28 ZPTC seats. We contested 1073 MPTC and 80 ZPTC seats in these elections and prevented the contest with the Congress(I) in 17 ZPTC seats and 233 MPTC seats of this. We bagged only 103 MPTC and 3 ZPTC seats. The rest of the seats were bagged by contesting with the Congress(I) and the TDP. These were the first elections after 1999 Assembly elections. Though our party’s popularity had grown with the agitations conducted recently, the results revealed our weakness in transforming our popularity into votes due to lack of party machinery in all places.
Though very limited number, these are certain instances when our comrades worked contrary to our political line. Complete details are yet to be reached.
It is clear that out party mass base is still weak. Only with the unleashing of militant struggles in a big way, our base will be strengthened.
In the publication, CPM gives a clarion call to launch a "MILITANT STUGGLE" to increase their presence in AP(can we say capture power?). If SIMI, LeT can be banned for launching Armed struggle against union of India why is CPM spared?

Not so Proletariat afterall

The groom arrived in a cream-coloured Mercedes to the stunningly decorated venue. Over 1,500 guests were entertained by a rock band from Delhi and singers from Mumbai and served a dozen different cuisines.

At the tony Harsheela Resorts spread over 8 acres in Mullanpur, on the outskirts of the city, a wedding planner from Delhi choreographed a grand wedding.

The catering team from Chandigarh had 250 cooks and waiters

Guess Whose Wedding was it.

Sandeep Singh, grandson of Harkishan Singh Surjeet grand old man of Indias proletariat party

Guess Who is the IT minister in kerala.

YES NONE OTHER THAN THE GREATEST ACHUTHANDAN.

Lets see his qualifucation to head IT Department:-

- 8th Failed

- The guy who led agitation to Ban Computers from Kerala

- The guy who led agitation against Internet City

In Kerala, the poor mens party CPM is a Rs 4,000 crore business group.

In Kerala, the CPI(M) is a Rs 4,000 crore business group. The party runs a TV channel, rubber factories, tobacco units, is building an amusement park. And even has NRI partners.

Yep, the Poor Persons party owns two TV Channel,
Kairali and People satellite television channels

Among the investors for Kairali TV Channel are
Wahab whose business extends from trading to real estate, Bahrain to Saudi Arabia became a Rajya Sabha member in 2004 courtesy the Muslim League. Other was Manichan who was arrested four years ago, following some deaths in a hooch tragedy in Kerala

I can still live with it but the most Outrageous was their Water theme Park. Yes you heard it right the CPM is the proud owner of a modern water theme park in its bastion in north Kerala. Its a 25-acre hilly terrain located 15 km from the town at Parassinikadavu. The park will boast of 14 water rides, 12 dry items, children’s play area, a 35-ft high artificial waterfall, open air theatre and a music fountain among other things.

Party says that it will meet i
ts requirements from water harvesting on three acres and will construct an artificial lake to store water

CR Neelakantan, an environmental scientist, says the park will need nearly 3,00,000 litres of water every day. "Even if they resort to recycling, they will have to bring in 30 percent fresh water daily," he says. Neelakantan is not convinced the park's needs would be met by water harvesting. "Theoretically, three crore litres of water is available from harvesting on three acres. This is simply not enough for running a water park. They will have to tap groundwater or surface water. I am sure they are eyeing the nearby Valapattanam river for their needs," he says.

It would be interesting to to know that this is the same party which was in forefront of agitation against Coca-Cola in Plachimada for using groundwater.

- P.V. Abdul Wahab was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Kerala in March on the Indian Union Muslim League ticket and had tactit support of CPM

- Master of a Rs 136-crore business empire stretching from Malappuram to Australia as declared by Mr Wahab himself in his affidavit before the Election Commission

Even Madanis Photo was most Valued

In Kerala, Abdul Nazar Madani was being used by both the LDF and the UDF for electoral gains once again. While the political bonhomie between the PDP and the LDF has made it expedient for some of the Left candidates in the state to use the photo of Madani in their election posters, the incarcerated leader has become the target of the UDF camp as well.

In many posters of the LDF candidates, the candidate concerned can be seen overshadowed by a colossal image of Madani. And as if to assert their we-love-Madani claim, there are catchy headlines pitying the condition of Madani.

We have given permission only to the LDF for using the photograph of Madani and no one else has the right to do so,said PDP leader C.K.Abdul Azeez.

To the Unaware:

- Abdul Nasser Madhani is prime accused in 1998 Coimbatore Serial Bomb Blast case which killed more than 59 people.

Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) in Tamilnadu

Current Members: DMK, PMK, Congress, CPI, CPM and IUML

Three Years Back Same time, CPM Article on "Casteist Organisations and the Party*"

It is a fact that the caste problem in Kerala cannot be fully explained in isolation of communalism. Muslim and Christian communalism have also been an inspiration to the current caste trends. The issues related to communalism and religious minorities are not being considered in this document. The Party Congress and the State Committee have adopted clear stand on Communalism. The existence of Kerala Congress and Muslim League, as political parties centered on Christian and Muslim minorities, and holding power in the state is also an inspiration for the casteist leaders of Hindu religion to enter into politics. This prepared the ground for strengthening the caste based politics.

CPM - TDP Allaince

CPI dares CPM to defend alliance with TDP

CPI State unit secretary K Narayana has challenged the CPM to defend the alliance with the TDP, whose government abetted the police violence against the party activists taking part in the anti-power strike five years back, killing three people, including Sattenapalli Ramakrishna of Khammam town.

“I wonder what reply they would give to the widow of the slain activist?” he quipped at a press conference here on Thursday

Same time a Year Back, Political Resolution of CPM

POLITICAL RESOLUTION ADOPTED AT THE 18TH CONGRESS OF THE CPI(M) (Held at New Delhi between April 6 and 11, 2005)

The most significant political development at the national level since the 17th Congress has been the clear defeat of the BJP-led NDA government in the Lok Sabha elections of May 2004. The people of India overthrew the RSS-controlled regime on account of its anti-people and pro-imperialist economic policies, its communal and divisive platform, its massive corruption scandals and its attacks on democratic rights. The simultaneous elections to the Andhra Pradesh assembly saw the even more decisive defeat of the TDP government, which had all along acted as the foremost agent of the World Bank. Three months later, the BJP-Shiv Sena communal combine was humbled in the Maharashtra assembly elections.

Neo Liberal Policies At The Root of TDP's Defeat

The mandate of the recently concluded elections to the local bodies in Andhra Pradesh was clearly against the ruling Telugu Desam party's anti people policies. Though TDP emerged as the largest party in these elections, the results were not up to their expectations. It shows clearly that the mandate is against the TDP’s anti-people policies.

The main cause of the defeat of the TDP was the implementation of liberalised policies in the state, which are the part of anti-people’s policies pursued by the government at the behest World Bank.

{My comment: Seems Mr. Buddha has not read this Article}

CPI(M) and CPI could come to seat adjustments only in limited places. The CPI alligned even with TDP in Khammam district, Ramanapeta in Nalgonda district and at some other places. It effected badly the task of defeating the TDP-BJP front for which we are working unitedly. We wrote a letter to CPI state leadership on this issue. There is no reply till today.
{My comment: This takes the cake.}

It is clear that out party mass base is still weak. Only with the unleashing of militant struggles in a big way, our base will be strengthened.

All sectors in Kerala open to investment: Achuthanandan

Making a strong pitch for investments in his financially crunched state, Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said his government would welcome all investors - private as well as foreign - in every sector, provided the proposals were ‘not against the interests of the state’.

‘We welcome all investments - both private and foreign. But their conditions should not be against the interests of the state and welfare of its people,’ Achuthanandan told IANS in an interview here.

All sectors, including traditional industries, are open for private investment,’ he said.

Asked why Kerala comrades could not follow their West Bengal counterparts, who have recently changed their mode of protests from blockading roads and disrupting work, Achuthanandan said, ‘We will have to think about it.’
