India's top two Communist leaders, CPI(M)’s Prakash Karat and CPI’s A B Bardhan who never tire of singing praises of Cuban leader Fidel Castro and his battles with the US, are heading for Havana. Over a thousand guests are expected to attend this Left jamboree.
‘‘We are keen to know what the Latin Americans have to say about us (the Indian Left),’’ says Bardhan. Also he proudly claimed that Cubans are so resolute that they are not shattered by the succession of hurricanes and storms, a resilience that’s is not even shown by the US.I am sure Mr. Burden(no i know my spelling) and Mr. Karat would use this trip to propagate the idea of democracy among their communist counterparts. Afterall, Thats what they were doing in Nepal.
